JG Lipscomb is a 2014 MIF/RHP with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Tupelo, MS who attends Tupelo Christian Prep. Lean athletic build, long limbs, plenty of room to get stronger. Open stance, good hitter's hands, uses backside well, line drive swing plane, stays inside the ball well, squares up consistently, nice fluid swing that will improve with more strength. Smooth infield actions, 7.37 runner, moves well laterally and takes good routes to balls, quick release, showed better arm strength in games than in drills. Also pitched, compact arm hides ball well, high 3/4's slot, fastball touched 80 mph, short quick slider, threw strikes and got quick outs. Very projectable athlete. Good student.
