Jonathan Bermudez De Jesus is a 2013 LHP with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Coamo, PR who attends Jose Felipe Zayas HS. Young projectable build, lots of room to get stronger. 3/4's arm slot, loose fast arm action, tends to open early and fall off to the third base side, effort on release. Fastball to 85 mph, good arm side running action at times, tends to overthrow fastball and will have to improve command of the pitch. Nice curveball, deep 1/7 break, sharp biting action, uses curveball well and throws for strikes, slows a bit on his change up but has some feel for it. Has the tools to keep improving, command and delivery consistency will be key.

Jonathan Bermudez is a 2013 LHP with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Coamo, PR who attends Jose Felipe Zayas HS. Nice athletic body, projects to get stronger. Stylish southpaw delivery, gets turned well, very clean and easy arm circle, extended 3/4's arm slot, very sound overall mechanics. Low 80's fastball topped at 83 mph, more velocity in there, cuts fastball when down, will rush/drift at times and elevate fastball. Big sweeping curveball, good depth, uses curveball as his strike out pitch and has feel for it. Flashed a slider. Can improve with additional strength and pitching down in the zone more consistently, has the base tools.
