Scott Dubrule is a 2016 SS/2B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Venice, FL who attends Venice HS. Medium frame, lean build with wiry present strength and athleticism, room to fill out. Left handed hitter, open stance with high hands set, shift into contact, flashes good hand quickness. Short path to ball, keeps hands inside ball often, good feel for barrel with line-drive swing plane. Flashes ability to get extended, shows some jump and strength off of the barrel, especially to the pullside. Middle infielder build, shows soft hands and works through ball well. Stays under control, gets ball out quickly with fast transfer, release. Very good student. Verbal commitment to Jacksonville University.
