Ryan Howell is a 2015 LHP/OF with a 5-10 130 lb. frame from Bettendorf, IA who attends Bettendorf HS. Very young and slender build, developing strength. Leg raise delivery, gets turned well but doesn't get back open and clear lower half, cross body release, stays balanced and tall, high 3/4's arm slot. Low 70's fastball, mostly straight with some lefty fade when down, has trouble getting fastball down and to glove side due to delivery. Big breaking soft curveball with proper release and shape, throws curveball for strikes, rare change up. Lots of time to get stronger, must work on fastball command.
