Dustin Vergara is a 6' 180 pound 2008 right handed pitcher and outfielder from Greeley, Colorado who is young with a strong build and athletic body. Vergara throws from a 3/4 arm slot with good arm speed and looseness out front. He has a compact arm action and decent extension. His fastball at 74 mph has god tailing action and his curveball at 60-62 mph had good downward break with tight spin and depth. Dustin has good all around stuff when he keeps the ball down in the zone. He can be very effective when he does this and gets outs. He has good strength with his bat and has the ability to drive the ball to both gaps. He has a balanced swing and gets the head of the bat out very well.
