Brian Thompson is a 2007 RHP/IF with a 6'3'', 195 lb. frame from Hingham, MA who attends Phillips Andover Academy. He has a tall frame with solid present strength and the promise of more in the future. At the plate Brian is primarily a contact hitter at this point and needs to make some adjustments to reach his potential. He throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a short arm action and gets nice armside run on his pitches. Brian gets a nice downhill plane on his pitches and does a good job of working the corners. His change-up is solid with good life and he needs to work on staying on top of his curveball. He is a little stiff in his delivery and he could tone down his effort a little bit. Brian is a player that should attract attention from many smaller college programs.
