Alvaro Valdez is a 2016 OF with a 6-2 204 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Westminster Christian HS. Big and strong athletic build, square shoulders, very strong lower half. Runs very well for his size, 6.87 in the sixty, full and loose arm action with good extension and arm strength, has quick footwork and fields the ball out front. Left handed hitter, leg lift trigger without much shift into contact, upper body arm generated swing, can use his strong lower half better, has hand quickness and strength at contact when squared, flashed his pull power, can hit more relaxed at the plate.
