2013 Southeast Underclass Showcase
Travis Block is a 2015 LHP with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Sandy Springs, GA who attends Riverwood HS. Slender young build, lots of room to get stronger. Big early arm load, slingshot arm action, 3/4's arm slot, shows ball in back, arm works well and repeats delivery, good lower half use. Steady upper 70's fastball, topped out at 80 mph, lots of running and sinking action, occasional big tail. Big breaking curveball in the upper 60's, sweeping 2/8 shape, rare change up. Throws nothing straight and throws strikes with all three pitches from a sound delivery. Will continue to improve with additional strength. Good student.
