Spencer Landry is a 2014 3B/2B/RHP with a 6-0 187 lb. frame from Berwick, LA who attends Patterson HS. Medium athletic build, good present strength. Right handed hitter, low hand start with some back side collapse, limited shift, uses strength to start somewhat complicated swing, swings hard, has bat speed, looks to pull the ball, shows some lift, has hitting tools that will improve with adjustments. Good footwork at third base, 7.69 runner, can improve overall quickness, some arm strength across the diamond, throws carry. Also pitched, simple turn and throw delivery, compact arm circle, fastball topped at 78 mph, lots of run and sink on fastball, soft curveball spin, still developing feel for off speed, threw strikes and was effective with fastball movement. Good student.
