Scott Sponder is a 2014 C/1B/3B with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Montague, NJ who attends Kittatiny HS. Sponder has a bigger frame with a thick build. Defensively he has developing receiving skills behind the plate with developing catch and throw tools. Sponder has a low release with developing arm strength. He made online throws in the workout. At the plate, Sponder is a switch hitter. From the left side, he starts with an upright stance with high hands. He has a rotational approach with developing bat speed. From the right side, he has a similar approach. He can get more lower half involved with his swing from both sides of the plate. Outstanding student.
