Will Posthumus -- Posthumus is a big strong 6-3, 225 first baseman from Michigan. He could firm up his lower half some but he moves around pretty well on the field for his size. What Posthumus can do is hit the ball hard. He has an opposite field power approach with very good hand strength and a solid ability to get the fat part of the bat on the ball. He hit doubles up the right centerfield gap in all 3 games and really laced them. Posthumus also had a 3 inning stint on the mound. He threw 75 mph with his fastball and 64-65 with his curveball but competed hard, threw strikes and got some quick outs. Along with appreciating his hitting and power potential, we also liked the way Posthumus played the game. His future will revolve around his outstanding power potential. He's a top level hitting propect who should get pro scouts excited. Will is a good student.
