Will Krasne is a 2006 right handed pitcher from Washington, DC with a medium build and strong lower half at 6-0, 180 lbs. He throws from a low 3/4's release point with a compact, quick arm circle in back. Krasne's fastball was 87-89 mph and he gets very good running life into right handed hitters. His curveball is a sweeping 10/4 breaker at 72 mph that can be big and sharp at times. He also showed some feel for a 70 mph change up. Krasne didn't hit at the National Showcase but he has shown us an advanced bat and definite prospect tools as an outfielder in the past as well. That athleticism can only help him as a pitcher. Krasne is a superior student who has committed to Stanford for college. He has the kind of pitching style that the Stanford coaches will be very tempted to use immediately as a freshman out of the bullpen to take care of a right handed hitting line up.

Krasne is a junior right handed pitcher from Washington D.C. He has good present strength with the potential to get stronger. Krasne has a fast delivery with a compact arm action and little use of his lower half. Despite being somewhat frenetic before he releases the ball, Krasne does a good job staying in line and repeating his delivery and thus throwing strikes. His arm is very quick. Krasne topped out at 87 mph with hard running action at times. His curveball had very good velocity at 73-75 mph and very tight spin and sharp biting action. Krasne’s change up was a quality pitch at 75-78 mph. With three very good pitches and a difficult delivery to pick up for hitters, Krasne doesn’t look like a very comfortable pitcher to hit against. Krasne also showed us that he’s a potential college level prospect as a third baseman. He hit very well in both batting practice and in games, showing very sound hitting fundamentals and above average bat speed. Krasne has the strength to hit for power with wood and is probably a dominant high school hitter with aluminum. He had a couple of extra base hits in the showcase games and the ball really rocketed off his bat. It’s very worth mentioning Krasne’s academics as well. He attends a prestigious school in Washington D.C. and is an elite level student, with SAT scores over 1,500. Every top level academic Division I school in the country should be interested in this young man.

Krasne is a young "06" RHP/IF from Washington DC. At 6'0/170 he has room to grow much stronger with good looking athletic body. He has good mound presence, mechanics and command for a 2006 grad. He throws from a 3/4 slot with average arm speed and a slow deliberate tempo. Fastball is 76-78 with some sink on his two-seam. Curve has a tight 11-5 rotation at 63-65mph with depth and deception. One to keep an eye on. Listed as a primary pitcher, he lit it up in bp. He is a right handed hitter with a very quick bat. Balanced throughout swing, he has a short quick advanced swing for his age. This guy can hit. Absolute strong follow for any program as a hitter. Size strength and actions all project big time. Top prospect
