Will Finnerty is a 2014 1B/LHP with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Carlsbad, CA who attends Santa Fe Christian. Finnerty has a medium sized frame with a young projectable body. His feet work well around the bag at 1B and has good hands. He uses a short arm action with developing arm strength. At the plate, Finnerty starts with an open stance with a wide base. He has a pull approach and maintains balance through his swing. Finnerty has some bat speed and made some hard contact. He uses a slow deliberate delivery on the mound good balance and online direction. He pitches with some effort and can get more from his lower half. Good student.
