2005 Sunshine West Showcase
Trey Rallis is a 2006 SS/3B from Loyola HS in La Canada, CA, with a 6'1", 180 lb. frame. Rallis hits from an upright stance that is slightly open and closes up well at contact. He loads his hands well and showed very good bat speed in the showcase games. Rallis stays balanced throughout his swing, and has some present strength in his swing from gap to gap. He keeps the bat in the hitting zone and makes solid contact with a line drive swing plane. Defensively Rallis shows solid arm strength with good accuracy, and he has good footwork that will allow him to play anywhere in the infield. Rallis presently has a strong and athletic build, but he looks like he will get even stronger. On a slow track Rallis ran a 7.26 and showed good first step quickness in the showcase games. Rallis is also an outstanding student.
