Trevor Paine is a 5'11" 175 pound 2007 catcher and pitcher from Rocklin, California who attends Jesuit High School. He has a strong durable body with a wide frame and build. During the workout, he threw 77 mph with a 2.14 pop time showing a good release and accurate throws to second base. Trevor keeps his hands behind the ball on contact to get maximum spin and strength into contact. In the box, he has an average base with a slightly open stance and shows some good bat speed with good strength and the ability to drive the ball to both gaps.He is a heart of the line up type bat with a strong body and ability to play hard and keep his style of game intact. On the mound, Paine topped out at 83 mph with his compact breaking ball at 71mph. He showed good command of his fastball with good life. He has a quick short arm with a very quick tempo and some late effort. Trevor is a very good student and is a solid two way prospect.
