Connor Herd is a 2014 LHP/1B with a 6-3 165 lb. frame from Cologne, MN who attends Holy Family Catholic HS. Herd has a long lean body with a projectable build. He pitches from a low 3/4 arm slot with a long arm action. Herd has an extended release and has an online delivery. He gets good run on his fastball and throws it for strikes. He throws a 1/7 curveball with good shape and spin to it. He also throws a change up with run and sink to it. Herd misses bats and throws 3 pitches for strikes. Defensivley, Herd has good feet around the bag at 1B and showed good hands. At the plate, Herd has a confident approach and starts with an upright stance. He has a smooth swing with good hands to the ball. Herd showed solid hitting tools that project. Solid two-way player. Excellent student, name to Top Prospect Team.
