Hudson Pearson is a 2014 LHP/OF, 1B with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends The Rock Academy. Pearson has a large frame with a lean build and room to fill. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a shorter arm action and some arm speed. He gets his hip loaded well at balance point and pitches with some effort. Pearson lands across his body and gets some extension. He has some deception to his delivery. Pearson throws a 1/7 curveball that got tighter and sharper the more he threw it. He also throws a change up at 70 MPH with some slight sink to it. He has solid footwork in the outfield with solid actions. At the plate, he uses a rotational line drive swing and looks to pull. Very good student.
