Fine is a 5-9, 175 lb infielder from San Francisco with a low waist and good compact present strength. He was unable to run the 60 or participate in infield drills because of travel conflicts from the West Coast. Fine is a very aggressive, hustling player who showed good range in the field and looked to be a good runner. Fine has a lot of hand and body movement in his hitting set up and gets his hands out in the hitting zone early and quickly with a short, compact swing. He has some hand strength and the ball came off his bat pretty well. Fine tends to hit around the ball with this approach and consistently pulled all pitches in BP and in games. He is an excellent student.
