Dugan is a 6-0, 165 lb outfielder from Maryland. He showed excellent speed, running the 60 in 6.75 on the wet, slow track and also some arm strength in throwing 81 mph with good on-line carry and accuracy. He’s a very good defensive outfielder. Dugan hits from a spread stance and generates some bat speed. He does a good job of staying back and inside the ball and driving it to the opposite field, especially on pitches down in the zone. With his speed he’s going to beat out a lot of ground balls that he hits to the middle of the field, or stretch a double into a triple like he did in one game. He may develop more gap to gap power as he gets stronger. Dugan also pitched a couple of innings in relief, topping out at 80 mph with his fastball and throwing a 65 mph curveball. Dugan is an outstanding student with top level grades and test scores.

Tommy Dugan is a 2006 outfielder/middle infielder from Rockville, MD, with a 5'11", 156 pound frame. During batting practice, he hit from an open stance with no stride and is a good contact hitter. He has a controlled, aggressive line drive swing with above average bat speed. We need to get a better look at his defensive skills, but he looks athletic in all his actions. Tommy is an outstanding student.

Tommy Dugan is a wiry strong 5'11", 2006 outfielder from Rockville, Maryland, who showed a good balance of tools on offense. He’s a good runner, putting up a 7.03 time in the 60 and 4.52 to first base, and shows plenty of quick twitch muscles. At the plate, Dugan hits from a spread stance with a full gather of his body and hands. He has a quick, short path to the ball and a rotational, pull type of approach. Dugan showed the ability to generate bat speed with the wood, hit the ball hard consistently, and he could develop some power in the future. Defensively, Dugan has fair arm strength that could improve with better throwing mechanics, as he slings the ball right now. He’s a good live bodied athlete to keep an eye on.

Tommy Dugan -- Dugan is a young sophomore outfielder from Maryland with a slender body that hasn’t started to mature yet. Dugan’s best tool is his running ability. He’s a close to MLB average runner on a good track right now in the 60 and ran 4.40 down to first base. He’ll probably get faster as he gets stronger, too. He's very athletic and will be interesting to follow. It’s difficult to evaluate Dugan with a wood bat right now because of his body type and strength. He stays on the ball well but just isn’t strong enough to generate the bat speed right now. He has a nice swing that probably works very well with metal. Dugan is a very good student.
