2003 Northeast Underclass Showcase
Robbett is a left-handed hitting catcher who demonstrated quickness defensively. As a receiver he did not show MLB plus arm strength but he made up for it with a nice quick transfer and good footwork to account for his 2.12 pop time. He moved well behind the plate and showed soft hands. He can catch a good curve ball as well as anyone in this showcase. At the plate he showed a very good looking swing and produced sharp hits all over the field. He put the bat on the good fastballs as well as the off-speed pitches. He projects to get bigger, stronger and better yet. He was selected to the Top Prospect game. Billy is a very good student.
