Blayne Sebek is a 2013 RHP/1B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends Cy-Fair HS. Medium athletic build. Full hands over head delivery, stays tall over the rubber, drop and drive to the plate, tends to overstride at times, high 3/4's to over the top release, arm is fairly loose and smooth. Consistent upper 70's fastball, topped out at 80 mph, occasionally cuts fastball when down in zone. Good curveball with depth and hard spin, throws CB for strikes, occasionally drops arm angle on CB for big sweeping break. Rare slider and change up. Shows athleticism at first base, moves well, good footwork, soft hands. Left handed hitter, similar hitting approach to pitching approach, drives hard to the ball, aggressive swing, some uppercut, has hitting tools if he could shorten up a bit. Good student.
