Troy Dykhuis is a 2013 RHP/1B with a 6-1 210 lb. frame from West Chicago, IL who attends St Charles East HS. Extra strong physical build, especially in the lower half, young in the face. Slow paced side step delivery, medium arm circle, tight 3/4's release, big cross body, hides ball well and is smooth out front. Low 80's fastball topped at 83 mph, nice sink and run, keeps fastball below the waist consistently. Flashes curveball depth and spin, tends to aim out front, good arm speed and feel for change up. Has an idea how to pitch. Right handed hitter, shows bat speed and hitting skills, wide base, quick hands, can turn on the inside pitch, squares it up, good short swing, hitting potential. Follow as a potential 2-way player. Excellent student.
