Payne Townley is a 2013 RHP/SS with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Springdale, AR who attends Springdale HS. Medium frame, some developing strength. Fast paced delivery, quick turn and throw, throws severely cross body, compact arm action. Fastball topped at 78 mph, mostly straight with occasional cutting action, challenges hitters with fastball, short curveball with smaller break, hard to throw breaking ball with delivery, rare change up. Switch hitter, similar swing mechanics from both sides, line drive plane, spray all fields contact. Middle infielder, 7.12 runner, long slinging arm action with some carry on throws, tends to get glove down late fielding. Good student.
