Nicholas Campos is a 2014 LHP/1B with a 6-1 168 lb. frame from Humble, TX who attends Atascocita HS. Tall, slender young build. Tall delivery with upright finish, opens front side early, long extended arm action, 3/4's arm slot, tends to get under the ball at release. Steady mid 70's fastball, good sink when over the ball at release, repeats arm action well on change up, similar movement, some feel for throwing strikes and changing speeds, needs to develop breaking ball.. Left handed hitter, spread stance, still start, line drive swing plane, patient hitter, finds the barrel consistently but lacks current strength to drive the ball, should continue to improve as he matures physically. Good student.
