Taylor Hashman is a 2006 OF/1B from Naples High School in Naples, FL, with a 6'1'', 185 lb. frame. Hashman has a strong and athletic body with a good frame. Hashman is the starting QB on his high school football team and hadn't played baseball in several weeks. However, he still showed his tools and he is a good one. Hashman hits from a strong base with no stride. He is quiet at the plate with an advanced approach to hitting. He has very good bat speed with raw power to all fields. Hashman has a good understanding of the strike zone and is a patient hitter that doesn't chase bad pitches. There were at bats when he battled and fought off the tough pitches, and then made solid contact an drove the ball. Remember, this is all done without even picking up a bat for several weeks. Defensively he also made some good plays and showed a soft glove at first base with some good picks. Hashman plays the game hard and he has great upside. He is also a very good student.
