Edgar Herrera is a 2013 OF/LHP with a 6-2 160 lb. frame from Valencia, VZ who attends U E Carmen Cabriles. Lean long limbed loose build, very young with lots of physical projection. 7.18 runner, aggressive athletic actions in the outfield, loose arm action. Left handed hitter, spread stance, leg lift trigger, loose extended swing, handles the barrel well, consistent hard pull contact, beginnings of some bat speed, could hit taller, will definitely keep improving with strength. Also pitched, long arm circle, low 3/4's to side arm release point, stays on line well, fastball 77 mph with big running action, big sweeping curveball was his out pitch. 14 years old, would be a 2015 under USA high school eligibility rules.
