Richard Felix is a 2015 RHP/IF, OF, UT with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from La Puente, CA who attends Nogales. Felix has a medium sized frame with some present strength. He pitches from a lower 3/4 arm slot with a shorter arm action with some wrap in the back. Felix has some arm speed and has some effort at release. He has an online finish and has some deception to his delivery. He gets some run on his fastball and threw a ton of strikes with it. Felix threw a slider with tight bite and and some tilt to it. He also mixed in a cutter at 80 MPH with some movement to it. He threw 3 pitches for strikes and showed some feel. At the plate, he starts with a square stance and has a quiet approach. He showed some bat speed and has a smooth swing. Defensively he showed developing defensive tools with arm strength across the diamond. Good student.
