Moore is a 6-2, 165 lb sophomore infielder from Texas with a slender, projectable build. He ran the 60 in 7.42 and threw a solid 78 mph during infield drills. Moore showed very smooth infield actions, with very good balance and body control and a quick release on his throws. He projects to third base when he fills out but looks like he will be a plus defensive player at that position. At the plate, Moore hits from a no stride approach but uses his quick and strong hands to get the bat head to the ball in a hurry. Moore showed an above average ability to square up on the ball and made very solid contact during the showcase. His raw power is just waiting to blossom as he gets his lower half involved in his swing and begins to get stronger. Moore also pitched at the showcase, showing a 80-81 mph fastball, a 71 mph curveball with a short slider-type break and a 72 mph change up. He mixed his pitches up well and threw strikes from a sound delivery and should continue to improve as a pitcher. Moore is a strong follow as a 2-way player and gives flashes that he might be a high ceiling talent. Moore is also a good student. Named to the Top Prospect Game.
