Luis Roman De Jongh is a 2013 3B/MIF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Tomball, TX who attends Klein Oak HS. Strong athletic build, looks bigger than listed. Left handed hitter, rock back load, stays over back side at times, strong swing with good bat speed, some upper cut plane, creates hard top spin on the ball, showed big pull to mid field power, aggressive swing approach. 7.02 runner, arm really works well at third base, plus arm strength, will have to improve lower half quickness, playable actions at third base. Also pitched, 3/4's arm slot, fast arm, some effort on release, fastball to 88 mph, shows tight spin and sharp bite on 11/5 curveball, has mound presence and some pitchability. Two-way prospect, arm strength and power potential both play up. Good student.
