Tyler Tungate is a 2014 RHP/C/3B with a 6-2 183 lb. frame from Downey, CA who attends Downey HS. Solid build with good present strength. Leg raise/back turn delivery, 3/4's arm slot, arm works well, simple repeatable delivery mechanics. Mid 80's fastball, topped out at 87 mph, maintains velocity from the stretch, gets hard sink on his fastball at times. Variety of secondary pitches, two types of curveball at 66 mph and 71 mph, 71 CB has better spin and bite, shortened up for a 75 mph slider, showed good feel for his change up. Works quickly and has a feel for pitching. Right handed hitter, long and strong swing, mid field contact, shows his strength when lifting the ball. Sound catching mechanics, good arm strength, tends to stand up on release, best pop time 2.06. Nice future on the mound. Good student.
