Dominic Bethancourt is a 2014 RHP/SS/OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from El Dorado Hills, CA who attends Folsom HS. Young athletic frame, looks like he'll get stronger. Slow paced leg raise delivery, high 3/4's to over the top release, head pulls off plate at release, medium effort, good leverage and downhill angle, arm is loose and works well. Fastball topped at 82 mph, mostly straight, stays low in zone, tends to overthrow curveball, slurve type break, rare change up had good arm speed, promising pitch. Will add velocity with additional strength. Solid shortstop actions, good footwork, on line accurate throws, can play the middle infield with improved quickness. Very spread stance hitting, no stride approach, longer swing, tends to hit under the ball.
