Michael Basler is a 2014 LHP/1B with a 6-1 158 lb. frame from Southlake, TX who attends Carroll HS. Michael has a young lean build with room to fill out. He has a deceptive delivery with a slow tempo to plate and pitches from a low 3/4 arm slot. His fastball has arm side run and spots the pitch up well, he mixed in a big sweeping curveball that had good shape with solid feel for pitch. At the plate, he hits from a wide upright stance and displayed good balance with looseness out front while making consistent contact. Michael also excels in the classroom.
