Steve Cummings is a 2006 left handed pitcher/first baseman from West Chester East HS in West Chester, Pennsylvania, with a tall and lean 6'4"/180 pound frame. On the mound, Cummings pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with smooth arm action. He has a balanced delivery and stays online to the plate. His fastball is 79 mph and his 1-7 breaking curveball with depth is 66 mph. Steve does a nice job of maintaining his velocity from the stretch as well. As a left handed hitter, he hits from an open stance with a high back elbow and quick hands. Cummings is a very good student.
