Jacob Gleason is a 2013 RHP with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Leighton, IA who attends Pella HS. Strong athletic build, long arms for size. Long extended arm action, high 3/4's arm slot, good rhythm and balance in delivery, stays online and creates downhill angle. Fastball topped at 87 mph, gets good sink and occasional hard running action. Curveball has really improved, good power/velocity, tight spin and sharp 11/5 bite at times, has feel for throwing CB for strikes. Some developing change up feel, good arm speed with some sink. Has present pitchability and keeps improving, still projects. Signed with Northern Iowa Area CC.

Extended long arm action, long stride with lots of extension out front. Throws from high 3/4 slot. Sat low 80s but showed incresed movement at 84-85. Fastball showed arm side run. Looseness in arm, projects for more. Curveball has short break, but good feel. Showed changeup as well. Right handed hitter, lets the ball travel, choppy, downhill swing path with long path to ball.
