Brett Wood is a 2012 C/1B, 3B, RHP with a 5-8 185 lb. frame from Swansea, MA who attends Joseph Case. Medium build with strength in his lower half. Versatile player who showed tools behind the plate and on the mound. Two-hand receiver behind the plate with a long take back. Gains ground with feet and throws had accuracy. Projects to gain more arm strength in future. Showed quick hands at the plate with a line drive swing plane and good opposite field contact. Solid swing on good plane. Good rhythm on mound with easy, repeatable mechanics. Fastball sat high 70s, topping at 80. Three pitches with good command. Good spin on 69 mph curveball and showed good fade on 72 mph changeup. Very good student.
