Edgar Badaraco is a 2014 C/3B/1B with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Miramar, FL who attends American Heritage School. Solid athletic build, very good present strength. Right handed hitter, deep load, moves aggressively into contact, long loose swing with bat speed, looking to pull and lift, can turn on the inside fastball, ball comes off the barrel hard, stays on plane well for his approach, will struggle with off speed but hammer fastballs and mistakes. Some arm strength for age, gets rid of the ball quickly, 2.02 best pop, still has work to do on shifting and receiving. Very good student. Named to the Top Prospect Team.
