Yadiel Cruz is a 2013 RHP with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Caguas, PR who attends IBAHS. Nice athletic build, room to get stronger, projects well. Simple leg raise delivery, quick clean arm action, 3/4's arm slot, stays compact and balanced well. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, mostly straight, works fastball to glove side well, has some feel for working with fastball, primary fastball pitcher. Soft curveball spin, casts it and does not get out front, best when he's on the side of it for a sweeping break. Rare change up. Good arm strength and body to develop, needs to improve off speed stuff.
