Stephen Johnson is a 2014 LHP/1B with a 6-0 220 lb. frame from Ocala, FL who attends Vanguard High School. Has a large frame and strong stocky build. Pitches from a 3/4 arm slot, long arm action, balanced low effort delivery. Was aggressive with fastball and pounded the zone, hides the ball well, can sink change-up, and has a short breaking 1/7 curveball that he likes to backdoor hitters with. Defensively he has consistent hands and actions, long arm action, and arm works well. He's a switch hitter, from right side he has a spread set up and flashed pop. From the left side he showed well in the games displaying leverage and lift in his swing, and has raw power. Hit a stand up triple in game. Good Student.
