Brian Nelson is a 2015 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-4 195 lb. frame from Cary, NC who attends Cardinal Gibbons. Very tall, long and lanky, lot of room to fill, some present strength. Pitches from a high three quarters arm slot, long arm action, short stride, stays tall in back, downhill plane. Low effort delivery, deliberate motion, good arm side run on fastball, 12-6 curveball with depth. Line drive swing plane, occasional uppercut, low hand set, some strength at contact. Works through the ball well at 1B, long arm action, big target for fielders. Very good student.
