Varner is a 6'3" 190 pound 2006 left handed pitcher from Plant City High School in Plant City, Florida who has a tall frame. His changeup was his best pitch at 64 mph hwith some good late fade. His curveball improved as he got more comfortable on the mound. Seth is also a contact hitter who uses the entire field. He has a very level swing which produces line drives. Varner has a projectable body and is a good follow.

Varner is a 6-3 left handed pitcher from Florida with a nice athletic frame. He threw 82 mph from the outfield during drills. Varner topped out at 76 mph on his fastball and also threw a 58 mph curveball and 68 mph change up. His fastball had some natural cutting action and he did a good job of trying to mix up his pitches. Great power pitcher body but more of a finesse guy for now.
