Seth Sanders is a 2005 first baseman/outfielder from Ann Arbor Michigan with a big strong body at 6 ft. 3 230 pounds. He hits with an open stance and pulls off slightly. He showed very good bat speed with good extension on his finish. His bat is quick through the zone and doesn't stay on the plane of the ball long. He struggled with contact a bit but showed huge power when he connected. He hit a big bomb off an 85 mph fastball during the games. He is raw defensively with decent actions. He is a big target at first base with a good glove, and throws 74 mph across the infield. He has the potential to put up big power numbers at the next level. Seth is a good student and his raw power is as good as any in his class..

Seth Sanders is an extra big and strong young man from Michigan who put on one impressive display in batting practice. Sanders’ hitting mechanics are very raw, and he opens very early, and pulls off the ball pretty severely, leaving the outside half of the plate completely unguarded. But when Sanders makes solid pull contact, the ball disappears. He has big league upper deck raw power and hit some balls clear out of Veterans Memorials Stadium that we’re not sure where they landed. Sanders moves real well for his size at 7.33 and showed some very good athleticism on the bases as well. Sanders plays on the same high school team as top 2005 prospect Zach Putnam, who will likely draw dozens of scouts to many of his games next spring. Some of those scouts might see Putnam’s teammate wander into an inside fastball and launch one 500’. You never know and you rarely see this kind of raw power. Sanders is also a very good student.
