Alex Del Rio is a 2014 C/OF, IF with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Munster, IN who attends Munster. Long thin build with room to fill. Quick projectable bat, ball comes off well, lacks present strength but likely to develop power as he matures physically. Showed good bat control in games, lots of hard opposite field contact, line drive swing plane. Moves well laterally, quick projectable arm. Good glove to hand ball transfer on catch & throw behind the plate, needs to cut down on release time, arm will play. Showed good defensive ability in OF as well, may have a future there. Interesting young prospect to follow.
