Sean Welsh is a 2006 outfielder/pitcher from Central Bucks South HS in Jamison, Pennsylvania, with a tall and lean 6'1"/172 pound frame. In the outfield, Sean has athletic actions with good arm speed. He gets good carry on his throws at 81 mph. A right handed hitter, Welsh hits from an open and upright stance with a line drive swing plane. He has good hands and makes consistent solid contact at the plate. One the mound, he is a lefthander that pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with clean and loose arm action. He is a minimal effort pitcher that has a balanced and online delivery. His fastball was 83 mph and he compliments that with a 1-7 breaking curveball at 71 mph. Welsh is a good student.
