Flaherty is a young knuckleball pitcher with one of the better knuckleballs that we’ve ever seen from a young pitcher. Flaherty throws it anywhere from 56 to 65 mph and gets nice dancing and darting life to it consistently. He also mixed in a 62-67 mph curveball on occasion but didn’t show us the high hard one. It's difficult to grade a knuckle ball pitcher, but there's no question that he is very difficult to hit at any level. He throws it for strikes too. Sean is a very good student and we understand he has committed to Miami. This is perfect for him because if he is successful at Miami, he might just end up pitching to professional hitters.

Sean can pitch. His knuckleball is down right nasty at times with all kinds of movement. His wind up is deceptive and he has good command of his pitches. He was one of the most effective pitchers at the sunshine east. Great command and no one hit the ball off him. Maybe the best high school Knuckleballer we ever seen.! Will be successful where ever he pitches, but extremely hard to grade.!

Interesting "04" knuckle ball artist. He also shows some hitting ability with flashes of power. He throws the fastball around 70, but it just sets up the knuckler. The KB floats anywhere from the mid 50s to the mid 60s. It's a good one. He can pitch.
