Scott Moss is a 2013 LHP/1B with a 6-6 195 lb. frame from Deltona, FL who attends Deland HS. Very tall build, big frame, going to be plus big when mature. Tall and fall delivery, soft on the front side, quick compact arm with high back elbow, 3/4's arm slot, some effort on release. Fastball topped at 90 mph, lots of variance in fastball velocity, gets good arm side running action at times. Drops to low 3/4's slot on curveball, gets around pitch for sweeping break but gets good spin, will have to raise arm slot on CB in future, did not throw change up. Raw mechanics but lots to dream on and can generate velocity and spin. High ceiling. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Florida.
