Joseph Morales is a 2014 RHP/IF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Cape Coral, FL who attends Mariner HS. Slender athletic build, has some projection. Slow paced delivery, accelerated hard to the plate, compact arm action, high 3/4's arm slot, throws downhill, low effort release, ball comes out of his hand cleanly. Low 80's fastball, topped out at 82 mph, mostly straight with good angle, throws fastball to spots and pitches aggressively. Shows potential with his slider, good spin with bite and depth at times, inconsistent on SL release, if he develops slider consistency it will be a very good pitch. Going to add velocity with additional strength. Also plays the middle infield. Good student.
