Shaun Garceau is a lean projectable 6'1/185 RHP from Royal Palm Beach, FL. Garceau struck out 6 hitters in his two inning stint, using a 90-93 mph fastball that had MLB plus life and a very hard breaking curveball. Garceau’s mechanics get smoother every time we see him and his command gets subsequently sharper. The ball seems to explode out of his hand and he's fun to watch. He's one of the top college pitching prospects in the nation. He's really that good! Shaun was invited and attended the PG AFLAC Showcase in Baltimore, MD.

Shaun Garceau -- Garceau was one of the most impressive pitchers at the World Underclass, if not the most impressive. He has a projectable 6-1, 180 lb body with room to get stronger yet. He throws from a high ¾’s release point with a loose, quick arm action and the ball explodes out of his hand. He does throw a bit across his body but it only makes him more deceptive. His velocity was steady in the 89-91mph range and Garceau even hit 90 mph out of the stretch. He could throw his curveball harder than the 67 mph he does now but he gets very tight spin on it with sharp downer breaking action. Garceau also threw a 73 mph change up. One of the things that makes Garceau projectable is that he appears to be a very good athlete. He swung the bat very well in batting practice, showing solid line drive power potential. He's a top prospect for the "05" class and will receive a lot of interest from MLB scouts.
