Erik Wiebke is a 2015 LHP/1B with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Wellington, FL who attends Wellington High School. He has a medium frame and lean wiry build with room to add strength. On the mound, he pitches from an extended over the top release, releases the ball high, short in back, arm works well, stays tall and pitches downhill, controlled delivery, good tempo and stays online. Has a 1/7 curveball, big breaker, effective, and showed the ability to backdoor pitch, was around zone. At the plate, hits from a wide base with a pull approach, level swing, and made consistent contact. Good Student.
