Michael James is a 2014 LHP with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Brentwood, TN who attends Brentwood. Large frame, lean build with room to fill. Pitches from a high three quarters arm slot with a long arm action in back and more compact at release point. Fastball has good arm side run, smooth delivery and repeats it well, threw strikes and kept the ball down in the strike zone well. Good depth on 12-6 curveball with good downer shape. Pitches downhill, hides the ball well in his delivery. Good student.

Michael James is a 2014 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Brentwood, TN who attends Brentwood HS. Medium slope shouldered build. Full deep arm circle, high 3/4's arm slot, arm works well, some effort on release. Fastball to 81 mph, maintained velocity very well, mostly straight. Slider has hard bite when out front in his release, good depth at times, nice change up with arm speed and late fading action, mixes his pitches and throws strikes. Should add velocity with additional strength, everything else is there. Good student.
