Ian Schwickert is a 2013 1B/RHP with a 6-6 185 lb. frame from Mankato, MN who attends Mankato West. Very long and lean build, lots of room to fill out and add strength. As a 1B, long arm action with some effort. Online, feet move well, accurate arm, more arm strength to come. Slightly open stance at the plate, lot of moving parts pre-swing, balance is solid. Line drive plane with some lift. Power potential with additional strength. On the mound, stays tall and upright, short arm action on backside. Downhill angle. Repeats mechanics well, throws from 3/4 slot, only showed fastball. Very good student.
